Summer 2009 was the third wettest on record in Albany, according to the National Weather Service. June, July and August collectively saw 18.51 inches or rain. The two wettest summers on record came in 1871 and 1870.

It rained so much this summer, my two year old daughter has to follow the words "it's raining" with the word "again".
