Craig and his wonderful list

acorn macroThe good thing about Craigslist: it's a window into our fellow community members' wants, needs and aspirations. The bad thing about Craigslist: it's a window into our fellow community members' wants, needs and aspirations.

Good or bad, we'll let you decide...

This elderly lady needs a good home.

These "racing homers" could come in handy during the next Gmail outage.

There are nice people out there!

"WOMAN - FREE TO GREAT HOME"

Simple criteria: "You must like to eat. You must know the word platonic. You must love to laugh."

Ladies, you totally missed out on your chance to serve as arm candy at "a very exclusive restaurant" with "a few B list celebs."

Not to be too deflating, but "kinda strange" might not quite cover it.

Don't you just hate it when you're making out with a guy in his garage and then he tells you to run?

He asked for her phone book -- and she didn't get his number.

"I would have asked you out, but it would have been weird since I had just gotten to visual second base with you..."

This guy was run over by Malibu Barbie.

"You told me you have shoes older than me, which is cool with me, since I'm not into feet."

Regarding that 1946 Catalin radio - Catalins are very collectible, especially ones with the swirled bakelite (early plastic) cases. Most Catalin radios were powered with vacuum tubes, which got extremely hot and actually damaged and melted the interiors of the bakelite cases, so finding one without the burn marks is tough indeed. They also came in several different colors and patterns and styles. They're mostly now used for display rather than for actual broadcasts.

However, if that was a locally-used Catalin radio, most likely it would have been tuned to WGY or WABY or, if the teen-agers got a hold of it, WPTR.

$1.50/lb for *acorns*!?!?!

Anyone who wants acorns can come by and have all you can carry from my lawn!

There are organizations that help people take care of aging animals, and help them "retire" in comfort. Here's one:

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
