This will sound familiar
There's not a whole lot different from the results from the Siena poll out yesterday. David Paterson continues to be very unpopular and Andrew Cuomo continues to lead the hypothetical field for governor. How bad are things to Paterson? In a Q Poll out today, the current governor is tied with Rick Lazio in a hypothetical general election match-up.

I wonder if Cuomo is favored just because he isn't governor. I don't think people hated Patterson when he was Lt. Governor. I would imagine Cuomo would get just as much heat as Patterson if he tried to cut budgets.

The constant drumbeat of Paterson's bad poll numbers is beginning to strike me as lazy reporting. We get it. These bi-weekly polls are no longer newsworthy. Meanwhile, the state’s bond rating and ability to pay its bills are at risk due to a $3-5 billion current-year deficit. Now that’s real news we need to hear more about.

Perhaps his poll numbers are low because the media can't stop telling us how much we all hate him. It's kind of a spiral of hate.
