The last glove maker
NYT has a piece today about the last glove maker in Gloversville (he's actually new to the city). Almost unbelievable fact from the story: "Between 1890 and 1950, Gloversville supplied nearly 90 percent of all gloves sold in the United States." Sebastien and B visited an old leather factory in Gloversville as part of their Urban Decay Tour of the (Greater) Capital Region™ this past summer.
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up.
