That's Angelina and that's Albany

salt shot albany

You can see the State Library in the background on the right.

The trailer for Salt, the Angelina Jolie spy movie that filmed in downtown Albany back in April, was posted online today. And you can make out Albany very clearly in some of the shots. (It looks like they digitally added the Washington Monument and a few other DC buildings to make it look like the Beltway.)

The full trailer is embedded after the jump. Albany's cameos start at about the 1:17 mark.

We also pulled another screengrab of a shot from I-787. It looks like the footage has been flipped horizontally. How can you tell? The interstate signs are backwards. We're guessing they'll fix that before the movie's released next year.

(Thanks, JMc and others!)

Look closely at the signs:

One thing for sure, the money they saved shooting in Albany didn't go back fixing the script...

I don't understand why people find Angelina attractive. Ugh.

All I can think of is Octomom when I look at her now for some reason.

Anybody catch the font on those signs?

I know this shouldn't bother me, but you can't see the Washington Monument or Capitol from the part of the Beltway they're portraying. Not even a little. It's as accurate as pasting them in behind an igloo. Plus the distance from them puts the road going approximately through my home, and I'm not happy about that.

Um, and traffic is going the wrong way... Maybe the British re-took Washington.

Neat! I'm glad they didn't try to remove all of our landmarks.

you can also see my friend Mark's car...he and his whip were extras!!!! I know nobody else cares but I wanted to shout out Mark and his car.

When is hollywood goin to get it that wire stunts look like... well... wire stunts.

The stunts in the indiana jones trilogy (let's pretend the fourth movie never existed) look as good today as they did 20 years ago. Why the 'wood can't make great special effects today is beyod me.

look at gi joe, transfailers, and too fast and furious - awful awful crap. and the story too.

They take the time to remove the ESP and add the washington monument and US Capitol building on 3 seconds of film, but don't remove the NYS museum while they're at it?

She jumps off one overpass, onto a different one?
Sloppy.

What building is that at 1:20?

it is the d&h building
