One word: nanotubes

The society that recently gave a "young investigator" award to RPI engineering professor Nikhil Koratkar caught our eye: the Electrochemical Society Division of Fullerenes, Carbon Nanotubes and Nanostructures. It sounds like some sort of organization from the future. (Incidentally, the plaque is very tiny.) Koratkar's research is focused on the creation of carbon nanotubes and other nano-materials.
