Sitting by the fireplace

Update: There's a TableHopping post that's already covered this. (And it was from... yesterday. We obviously need to pay closer attention. Sorry about that. Thanks, MattW.)

Miriam emailed this morning:

Now there's snow on the ground it would be great if we could put together a list of places in and around Albany that have fireplaces.

And she sent along a list to get us started!

There's a toasty fireplace at the Mill Tavern on Round Lake in Malta. It was cranking on Saturday night!

SteveB beat you to it, It's a tough blogosphere out there...

I know it doesnt make a difference to all but are these Gas fireplaces or wood burning ones. (the desmond had a great one in the lobby!)

Is Dakota still open? Last time I went by there, the place looked deserted, and their sign was torn down. Unless maybe they are undergoing renovations?

I am willing to bet the list was from the blog post. It looks like it.
Also, Longfellows in Saratoga has a Fireplace too :)

Nope, the list wasn't from the blog post, I didn't realize that Steve had answered my question. AOA was nice enough to send me an email when they'd posted, but Steve I guess figured I'd check the blog. The list was from me googling around after I'd emailed Steve yesterday afternoon. So the cross posting was my fault, but not deliberately.

there is a fireplace in the McDonalds on Wolf Rd.

Let's not forget Colonie Center. I've long fantasized about throwing down a bearskin rug in front of one of their fireplaces and enjoying a glass of bubbly with my beloved--just to see how people react.

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
