Lunch money
The Albany school district has been experiencing cash flow issues over the last few years because of problems with its school lunch fund, according to an audit (pdf) released today by the New York State comptroller's office. Also among the audit's findings: the district could have been saving $47,000/year by turning off computers during idle periods. Those savings would have paid for a lot of SMART boards.
