My Exit: Bradley Armour-Garb
Every Monday night our friends at WEXT do this thing called My Exit -- local listeners get to come into the station and program an hour of music. So we thought it'd be fun to find out a little bit about these people and why they picked the songs on their play list.
Here's tonight's person:
Who?
My name is Bradley Armour-Garb. I'm a philosophy professor at SUNY-Albany
How would you describe your musical style?
Mod, Ska, Mash Ups and Punk
Three songs from Bradley's show:
Friday Night, Lily Allen
This song incorporates second wave ska with easy listening and has a haunting melody that I just love.
Itsoweezee, Panzah zandahz & Radiohead.
The song incorporates excellent rap with one of my favorite Radiohead songs, in an incredibly creative way.
This is an excellent example of third wave ska with an addictive beat. Also, I find this to be one of the best songs to listen towhen I swim (I am addicted to my waterproof iPod case).
You can hear Brad's My Exit show tonight at 8 at 97.7 or at exit977.org.
Here's how to schedule your own My Exit show on WEXT.
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
