Capital District Community Gardens reports that its "Squash Hunger Program" -- which collects produce donated by gardeners, farmers, CSA members and shoppers and then distributes it to shelters and food pantries -- gathered more than ten tons of fresh produce this year. (Alas, no link -- the info's from an emailed press release.)
