Who invited the monkey?

A recent wedding reception at Saratoga National included a person in a furry monkey suit... dancing. Here's another, oddly mesmerizing, look (scroll all the way down).

Okay guys, I'm going to be a total buzzkill that you will all hate and start a flame war with.

I don't know if I'll ever get married. But, if I do, I can make this promise: I will love that woman far too much to turn our wedding into a lame attempt at getting famous on the internet.

Please proceed with your accusations of me having no sense of humor and being a big tight-butt.

But it's such a cute monkey!

KM - what if it was also a karaoke-ing monkey? Happy now?

km - i dont really think it was a lame attempt at getting famous on the internet at all. in fact it was my judgement on posting the images on my blog and linking the video, not the monkeys. it actually wasn't even intended for for this website.

It wasn't intended for this website but thrown up on the internet for public consumption anyway. It's not like it was hidden and kept under lock and key, you know?

And I believe you. It's just that in light of all these chereographed entrances, sung Best Man speeches, and various other shenanigans thrown up on YouTube and exploded into viral fame (or infamy), it looked like more of the same.

I don't think it's a lame attempt at anything. The photog and videographer were merely documenting a unique facet of this wedding. And given that Saratoga National is pretty darn fancy, it was probably a big surprise to everyone there, too! Had this been posted to FB or you tube I think you'd have a stronger argument, KM, but photogs and videographers blogging about events they've worked is a standard practice these days.

Say what you will, but I really thought I brought my A-game that night... until my tail fell off.

Hey Kevin, for the record, the monkey didn't "show up" at the wedding to become famous on the internet. Just thought I'd clear that up.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
