What's up in the Neighborhood

The NeighborhoodAmong the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: a wrong turn, dim sum, a ribeye, New World, Troy, bikram, goals, the Baseball Hall of Fame, a wedding reception, the Huyck, frost, and a car sale.

Mr. Dave took a wrong turn... that ended up right. (Also: Nun fail, part deux!)

Albany Jane went for dim sum at Shining Rainbow.

BK got a two-inch-thick ribeye at Price Chopper.

Melissa and Liz "fabulous four course meal" at New World Bistro on New Year's Eve.

Kate wasn't happy with the TU's coverage of Troy.

As Tito found out, a lot of people's New Year's resolutions apparently involved bikram.

Carey and Rob set some goals for 2010 while dining at Gotchya's.

Chuck has lifetime free admission to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Naomi decided to rent out a restaurant in Saratoga for her wedding reception.

Albaniana went for a winter hike at the Huyck.

Jackie found patch of frost that "looked like someone had cast down a handful of stars."

And one of Kristi's readers told the story of how he/she sold their car on Craigslist in 45 minutes.

There's a lot more going on around the Neighborhood, but -- alas -- the neighborhood page here on AOA is currently broken. (We upgraded some stuff behind the scenes -- good things to come. But the upgrade borked something with the neighborhood.) We hope to have it fixed soon.

If you know of another great local blog we should include -- or person to follow on Twitter -- post a comment or send us an email: editors |at| alloveralbany |dot| com.

The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
