The Hold Steady back in April

the hold steady

Stay positive.

The Hold Steady will be back in the Capital Region April 7 to play a show at The Linda in Albany.

Their show at Valentine's last March sold out -- and we're guessing this one probably will, too. So, if you'd like go... buy tickets. Now. Or very soon.

Tickets are $22 in advance (scroll all the way down). The Oranges Band is opening.

Paste recently named The Hold Steady's album "Boys and Girls in America" the 11th best album of the last decade.

Minus Franz Nicolay

Yay! This is the day after my birthday! I already bought my ticket. Best live band EVER!

The Oranges Band are pretty awesome, too. Their song "OK Apartment" is a long-time favorite.

They need to take out all the chairs for a show like this. I saw the Felice Brothers there and everyone was sitting politely on their hands.

@Rob: According to the Linda site, it's all standing room -- no chairs.

I am sad to hear about Franz, but I am excited for a massive night.

Crap, better 'git a ticket buyin'!

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
