Gawker reports that Harold Ford has never filed a New York tax return -- despite having moved here three years ago (of course, it depends of the meaning of "moved"). Ford changed his voter registration from Tennessee to New York this past November.

Ford's rabbi, as I understand it, is Bloomberg. If D'Amato can still have a machine, I've no problem with Bloomberg having one too, and doing explorations like the Ford project. But I also expect Bloomberg to now back away from cynically extreme carpetbagging, as a matter of taste and credibility. I'll be disappointed if he doesn't.
