NYC at Albany prices
There's odd comparison made in this BusinessWeek story about MBAs heading for Asia: "[In Shanghai] she partakes of an upper-crust-Manhattan-type lifestyle--food delivered to her door every night, a maid who picks up after her, a balcony apartment in a compound with a pool--at Albany (N.Y.) prices." For what it's worth, Mercer figures Shanghai is about 5 percent cheaper than NYC for expats -- and Sperling's figures Albany is about 50 percent cheaper than NYC. (Thanks, Erik!)

I parked in an office parking lot on Washington Ave yesterday - daily parking cost $25 (cash only). That felt like Albany at NYC prices...
