OK Go to play Tulip Fest

ok go

OK Go. And a pony.

OK Go will be headlining the music slate at this year's Tulip Festival. You've probably seen their now-famous treadmill video -- or their latest, Rube Goldberg-inspired video. As it happens, they also play fun music.

The Tulip Festival is May 8 and 9 this year. OK Go will be playing Saturday afternoon. Like all the Tulip Fest shows, it's free.

Also: SPAC announced today that Kings of Leon will playing there June 6. Tickets go on sale this Saturday.

Cool! That treadmill video kicks ass (the song is good too).

Yay! OK Go are fun! I like their stuff. Kings of Leon, yuck.

Yaay! I was debating if it was worth a trip to NoHo to see them next month, but this is even better!

Weren't they at Tulipfest already? Does anyone else recall this?

@Sue: They played the Tulip Fest a few years ago. They Might Be Giants headlined.

Sue, they have played Tulipfest before, but not as headliners. I'm pretty sure they supported They Might Be Giants a few years ago.

I'm glad they're back - they seemed like a perfect band for the event. They are really fun on stage and I remember them playing a mix of covers and their own stuff.

When they played the Tulip Fest before, didn't they do some filming for a video then? They ended the set, if I recall, with a repeat number, explained they'd be filming, and jumped in to some wonderfully geeky choreography. I never saw the results and I can't remember which song it was, b/c that was the first time I'd heard them.

I'm psyched they're coming back.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
