Kickball!

This could be fun: there's an adult kickball league being organized in Albany. Pickup games start in May. The regular season starts in June. Games are at the fields at the NYS Department of Corrections academy on New Scotland Ave. Update: Here's the Facebook group for the pickup games that have been going on Hoffman Park.

Funny. A bunch of us used to play kickball every Monday night, over in Hoffman Park. We never had registrations or anything like that.

@ethan: I remember hearing about those games. I was wondering if there was any overlap between that group and this league.

A friend of mine told me about WAKA kickball after she discovered it over on the east coast. I had looked it up last year and was sad that there was no local league. But when I heard about this new league I signed up right away...I can't wait to play!

@greg ... nope no overlap... the Kickball Party group that has FREE pickup games at Hoffman Park is not officially affiliated with WAKA

This Thursday we have free pick-up games at the training academy! WAKA kickball is going to be so fun!!!!

Come check out another kickball league in the area, Premier Kickball League. We are all about fun and limit our teams to only 15 players which allows them to all kick 2 or 3 times as well as play the field more.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
