My Exit: Dawne Larkin
Every Monday night our friends at WEXT do this thing called My Exit -- local listeners get to come into the station and program an hour of music. So we thought it'd be fun to find out a little bit about these people and why they picked the songs on their play list.
Here's tonight's person:
Who?
Dawn Larkin. I'm a nursing student, budding filmmaker and single mother of two teens.
How would you describe your musical taste?
Music is my inspiration for everything in life. I'd describe my taste as eclectic. I've been listening to WEXT for a year now and I really love what they've been playing. I love being introduced to new music and they're always doing that for me.
Three songs from Dawne's My Exit show:
Black and Gold - Sam Sparro
I first heard this song last summer and I just loved it. It's very soulful and jazzy.
Crawl - Kings of Leon
Very muscular. I love indie music and this brings back heavy wrist and beat of base.
Starlight -Muse
I like the hard hitting interesting qualities in the song.
You can hear Ruth's My Exit show tonight at 8 on 97.7 or at exit977.org.
Here's how to schedule your own My Exit show on WEXT.
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
