Parking restrictions and road closures for Workforce Team Challenge

workforce team challenge 2009This year's CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge race is Thursday in Albany -- and there will be a bunch of parking restrictions and road closures. The list is after the jump.

Organizers says last year's race had record turnout -- 7,715 runners and 434 participating companies/organizations. (A short photo set from last year's race by B.)

Parking Prohibitions: Noon-8PM
+ All Roads Washington Park - both sides of all Park Roadways
+ Madison Avenue, both sides from Eagle Street to Willett Street
+ Madison Avenue, north side from Willett Street to Lake Avenue
+ Lake Avenue, east side from Madison Avenue to Hudson Avenue
+ Western Avenue, both sides from Robin Street to Lake Avenue
+ Lake Avenue, east side from Western Avenue to Washington Avenue
+ Washington, Avenue, south side from Lake Avenue to Sprague Place
+ Sprague Place, both sides from Western Avenue to State Street

Road Closure: 4PM-8PM
+ Washington Park, All park roadways

Madison Avenue between New Scotland Avenue and S. Lake Avenue will have one lane
of traffic for eastbound and westbound traffic detoured onto the eastbound side of
Madison Avenue.

I thought this was a hip blog? I can get this info from my grandma.

For people like myself who live around there say, well there's still no parking in center square!

you can tell it's a corporate fundraiser because it inconveniences the people that live in the actual city by donating the free time of suburban employees for a charity that sponsors religious programs.

the last thing albany needs is the intrusion of even more outside interests that want to hire people from troy and latham. don't encourage these monsters.
