Too bad they didn't clue up and borrow money when getting money was easy instead of fundraising. Banks are tight now.
Now the new Fresh Market is going to kill them -- they have all of the organics and high-quality boxed stuff and aren't run by militant vegetarians.

It's not the militant vegetarianism that'll get you at the co-op. It's the militant self-righteousness.

Geez, why the hostility? I have never been treated with anything but courtesy and respect at the Co-op. Many times staff have gone out of their way to show me where to find something (not direct me--actually take me there).
Including meat.
