Google figures it generated $6.3 billion of economic for New York State businesses, website publishers and non-profits last year -- and $54 billion nationwide (yep, that's based on a bunch of assumptions). The search/media giant also reported that employed more than 1,500 people full-time in New York (probably up a bit this year after the acquisition of On2 in Clifton Park).
For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
