My Exit: Bradley Armour-Garb
Every Monday night our friends at WEXT do this thing called My Exit -- local listeners get to come into the station and program an hour of music. So we thought it'd be fun to find out a little bit about these people and why they picked the songs on their play list.
Here's tonight's person:
Who?
Bradley Armour-Garb. I'm a philosophy professor at SUNY-Albany. This is my second My Exit show.
How would you describe your musical taste?
Ska, mod, mash-ups, punk, alternative
A few songs from Bradley's show:
The song is slightly haunting, very catchy and reminds me of a time when smoking cloves
was considered dangerous (but cool) and combining Pop Rocks with a carbonated beverage was "known" to be deadly.
The song is great and so with such an up tempo that it sounds like the singer, Shaggy has a huge smile every verse he sings.
The Israelites - Desmond Dekker and the Ages
The song is so great that if you do not like it then I fear that there must be something wrong with you.
Like almost every song by Sublime, this one is incredibly catchy and a fun one with which to sing along.
You can hear Bradley's My Exit show tonight at 8 on 97.7 or at exit977.org.
