Hunt for rainbows...

Yes, it's going to rain a bit this weekend.

No, this will not daunt us in our search for fun.

We are not daunted.

No daunt here at all.

No, sir...

Here's our list of stuff that looks like fun this weekend. Bring an umbrella and maybe a good pair of wellies and have at it.

As always, let us know what we missed. And have a great weekend.

It can't rain all weekend. Take a walk or a hike. Thacher Park is open (if it's dryer than expected, you can hit the beach) or you could check out the secret gardens at Pine Hollow Arboretum . Or pick your own favorite spot.

Wait out the showers at an ice cream stand.
Here are a few of the seasonal stands that are pretty popular. Or you could take the ice cream tour.

SaratogaArtsFest adult passes are $35, not $40 (look at that, my volunteer training coming in handy already).

The Fuze Box will be holding Pride's all-girl party, LesBoa, tonight from 9 p.m. to close. The fabulous DJ Lady Luck will be providing the tunes -- I got a preview of some of the playlist last night and it's killer. Mash-up mania! All the cool kids are going!

If fabulous DJ Lady Luck (it's true) would spin for us guys too now and then, that would be cool. All girl? Not that I don't like wearing a wig, but I make a very poor substitute.

Troy Flag Parade is on Sunday. Starts at 1 pm on 4th St. in South Troy and heads north. Biggest Flag Day Parade in America (so they say)!

@S You would make a pretty ugly girl, but would do well as a bear. Next party I pull together will be for a mixed crew, I promise you that.

Check out St. Michael's Parish Festival in Cohoes for some traditional Polish Food! Also, purchase tickets for Trashion 2010 online at www.fsgtroy.org or at Flavour Cafe in Troy. The show is next weekend June 19th, doors open at 5:30pm.

The Naked Bike Ride and the Pride Parade are both at noon in Washington Park on Saturday, I hope there isn't a head-on collision.

@pjt: no, the price parade is tomorrow Sunday. The Naked Bike Ride was today in Washington Park at 1pm. An overwhelming crowd of 2 (two) participants showed up, which is sad because I wore my Speedo in solidarity (or maybe that explains why). It was wasn't even raining :) There were actually more TV crews than bicycles.I took a few photos, but the event has been rescheduled next week anyway.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
