Diana Ross coming to the Palace

diana rossThe Palace Theatre announced today that Diana Ross will make a stop there September 15. Tickets start at $59.50 -- they go on sale to the general public June 30.

Ross is now 66. Wrote the Chicago Sun-Times' Thomas Conner of a recent show by the Motown queen:

The current tour is a businesslike, 90-minute trot through 25 of her well-known, oversaturated hits. We've seen this before, more than a few times.
So why is the show so good?

She's also seems to have been exhibiting some rather interesting plumage recently.

I predict the show will be canceled due to poor ticket sales. Didn't she scrap a tour not long ago for the same thing? A Supremes reunion perhaps?

I saw her show at Radio City. Ross was at her best and kept the audiences on their feet throughout most of it. Great show. If you do go, I guarantee you'll love it. Read the reviews...the critics have been raving.

She is a great entertainer, and she works the stage

I see as of today tickets are still available at orchestra level. Wondering if this show is going to be canceled?
