What's up in the Neighborhood

The NeighborhoodAmong the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: a really old road, bow-chicka-wow-wow, the Aquaducks, Cooperstown, St. Joseph's, Garden Bistro 24, Delaware Ave, pulled pork, a sushi buffet, doughboys, adorable vegetables, Adam Duritz, Vermont, and birthday cake.

Paula took a walk down Road Street in Albany, which she says predates the Revolutionary War.

Chuck told the backstory on an old theater in Albany that will probably never be restored. The bow-chicka-wow-wow probably has something to do with it.

Kevin went on an Aquaducks tour -- and says you're missing out, if you haven't tried it.

Bee Balm Gal went to Cooperstown -- and had nothing to with baseball.

Bob wasn't thrilled with the Heavy art event's use of St. Joseph's.

Steve on the new Garden Bistro 24: "Just about everything from 25-year-old chef-owner John Grizzaffi's kitchen is better, and less expensive, than you expect it to be so soon in the life of a new restaurant."

It sounds like Jen had a great night out on Delaware Ave.

Daniel is writing a letter to local chefs.

Jackie ate "the best pulled-pork sandwich I ever had" from Blue Smoke at The Track.

Albany Jane checked out the Nikko sushi buffet in Colonie.

Kristi didn't let a sign stop her pursuit of doughboy.

Rochelle says the The Glen Drive-In in Queensbury is "campy and quite likeable."

Noshing Leah's CSA basket this week included the most adorable vegetable know to man/woman kind.

Rebecca took "a million pictures of Adam' Duritz with his eye closed and his head tipped back."

Drew addressed his nature deficit disorder with a trip to Vermont.

The Idiots came across some appropriate parking.

And Celina got an already-ordered-another-one lemon birthday cake from Via Fresca.
