What's up in the Neighborhood

The NeighborhoodAmong the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: Schoharie County, the Great Escape, Mountain Brew, cupcakes, breakfast, calamari, the Judge's Inn, burgeoning gentians, contractors, cookies, text books and fish.

Kim geared up for fall with a swing through Schoharie County.

Silvia went to the The Great Escape and came back back offended.

Jim and Robin tried the Mountain Brew Ice beer from Stewart's.

Drew went glamping.

A cupcake at Sweet Temptations had Albany Jane thinking that maybe cupcakes don't need icing.

CAPow had a disappointing diner breakfast.

Steve had a great calamari dish at McGuire's.

Jerry had to file an appeal at the Judge's Inn in Troy.

Jackie came across some burgeoning gentians (they're beautiful).

One of Kristi's readers asked about finding a good contractor for a new patio.

Daniel B's tale of Smalbany.

If anyone asks, Rob and Carey ate the cookies at the Hannaford.

Rebecca got a dispensation on the no-electronics rule at Virgil's.

Bob wondered whether his $100 text book qualified as a wound.

And Rob has what may be the Capital Region's luckiest fish.

Wow! On behalf of obscure indie-bloggers everywhere, thanks for the link!

Thanks for the shout-out, AOA!

Thanks for the link guys!

While searching for a good diner breakfast near downtown Albany, we discovered Johnny B's Glenmont diner, not too far from the end of 787. The food is good and the people are so friendly.

What a surprise to be linked by such a great site! Thanks. I'm glad you like to come along on my nature adventures.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
