The eba Center in Albany's Center Square neighborhood (you know, above the flower market on Lark) is trying win a $250k Pepsi Refresh grant to start a fitness center. For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.

If they win, will eba do outreach to the community that the Y actually served? Or just be a gym for those with the means who live in Center Square?

eba does a great deal of outreach to communities throughout the Capital Region. It has had programs in urban charter schools, senior communities, and seeks to work with existing neighborhood institutions throughout Albany. But their funding has been significantly cut and they need everyone's support. Please vote for them!
