It's zombie prom season

zombie walk 2009 galloYes, it's that special time when all the fresh-faced zombies (or, uh, not-so-fresh-faced) get dressed up to promenade. And they have a few opportunities to do so this year.

Bettie's Cakes will be throwing a zombie prom Friday from 7-10 pm at its store in Saratoga. The winning zombie king and queen will get free cupcakes for a year. There will also be a group Thriller dance and "ghoulish desserts." (The event is free, the desserts will be for sale.)

On Saturday night, there's a zombie prom at The Linda in Albany (tickets $10). Earlier in the evening, the popular zombie walk will make its way from the Washington Ave Armory up Central Ave to the Linda. Both events are part of Zombie Film Feast 3.

Bonus zombies: Rob's posted a fun photoset from the Hellions of Troy zombies vs. vampires bout this past week.

In a show of solidarity, I will kindly offer to be BFFs with this year's winner of Free Cupcakes For A Year.

(Actually, I just want the frosting. They can keep their cakes.)

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

What's All Over Albany?

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
