All sorts of annual holiday events over the next few days

There are all sorts of annual holiday-related local activities coming up over the next few days. You'll have plenty of opportunities to get your annual fix of Victorian street walks, The Nutcracker, Christmas concerts and tree lighting.

Here's a quick list...

Saratoga Victorian Streetwalk

The annual Victorian Streetwalk is tonight (Thursday) from 6-10 pm in downtown Saratoga. Caroling, costumes, Santa and a bunch of other entertainment spread throughout downtown. Free

Troy Victorian Stroll

The annual Victorian Stroll in Troy is Sunday from 11 am to 5 pm. This year's event include activities at 100 sites, the annual window decorating contest, music, and -- yep -- costumes. Free

The Nutcracker at Proctors

The Northeast Ballet Company's annual production of The Nutcracker at Proctors has performances on Saturday (7 pm) and Sunday (2 pm). Two New York City Ballet principal dancers are part of the production. Tickets start at $20

The Nutcracker at The Egg

The Malta Ballet Company, a local youth company, will be performing its annual production of the The Nutcracker on Saturday (2:30 and 7:30 pm) at The Egg. The production includes two soloists from the the New York City Ballet. Tickets are $31.50 ($16.50 for kids)

ASO's Magic of Christmas concerts

The Albany Symphony Orchestra will be playing its annual Christmas concerts at the Palace on Saturday (7 pm) and Sunday (3 pm). Tickets are $30 ($15 for kids)

Empire State Plaza Tree Lighting

The annual tree lighting at the ESP also includes fireworks and music. Events start at 10 am -- the tree lighting and fireworks at about 5:15 pm.

Of course, these are just a few things to do this week (and this December). We'll have our usual "Stuff to do this weekend" list Friday morning.

On Friday, at the NYS Museum is the chocolate expo - it's a really good time. I don't even like sweets and I enjoy walking around, tasting chocolate, etc.

Tonight is the Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting here in Ballston Spa. Always a fun event, despite the cold :)
