What's up in the Neighborhood

The NeighborhoodAmong the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: thumbs down for the Dino, the Food and Wine Festival, a deity at Cafe Capriccio, a mac 'n cheese burger, pho, pastries, weather-related amnesia, gastroenterologists, dog boots, eagles, sledding and a sad scene.

Jerry gave the Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in Troy "a huge thumbs down."

Daniel B had a "great time" at the Albany Food and Wine Festival. And Steve has a bunch of photos from the event.

Silvia had a meal at Cafe Capriccio that was apparently prepared by a deity.

CAPow had breakfast at the Capital City Diner, the new incarnation of the Metro 20.

Mr. Dave enjoyed his macaroni and cheese burger from the Wine-N-Diner.

Albany Jane went to Mr. Pio Pio.

Carey and Rob went for pho at Phila Fusion.

FiS Dan "forgot how great" Mrs. London's is.

Kevin diagnosed a local outbreak of "Solstical Amnesia."

Daniel Nester has cut the cord.

One of Kristi's readers asked about finding a good gastroenterologist.

Akum told the story of the builder responsible for many of the houses in Albany's Pine Hills neighborhood.

Chuck took some photos of downtown Albany and got them processed to an interesting effect.

Bandit tried out some dog boots in the snow.

Bennett went sledding at Capital Hills.

Jackie came across a roadkill deer that had been put out for eagles.

Drew took a slippery hike up Crane Mountain.

And Rob came across a sad scene.

Thanks AOA!

I forgot I even wrote that.

I like to try and guess each Wednesday what may show up in the neighborhood from me, and others. This week, I thought for sure it was going to be the cheap watch battery post :)

The Scoop
