@Jessica R: You may not realize that "jiped" or "gypped" is actually a racist/derogatory term for gypsies.

And, Abby, "gypsy" is a derogatory term for Romani people.
Anyway, not burst anyone's bubble, but I believe the visit was only trending locally (maybe in the US), definitely not worldwide. I kind of doubt many people outside of NYS and political pundits knew about this. It was still funny to see everyone get in such a tizzy over a short speech, though I probably would if he came to my workplace.
