Steve Martin at the Palace

steve martinSteve Martin will be at the Palace March 30 for the aptly-titled "A Conversation with Steve Martin." From the blurbage:

In this exclusive event, Martin will talk at length, impromptu, before a live audience. The evening's conversation will be led by a moderator and will include a Q&A segment where audience members will have an opportunity to engage with one of the greatest entertainers of our time in an enjoyable and intimate audience-interactive format. Come with your questions and share in the fun with one of the country's most loved and respected performers.

Martin obviously has a long and varied entertainment career. But he seems to have a lot of outside interests, as well, notably music and art. His most recent book is set in the art world. And at a recent evening-with-Stever-Martin type of event in NYC, he and the interviewer spoke at length about art -- so much so, that people in the audience were apparently disappointed and the organizer of the event offered refunds.

Tickets for the Palace event start at $45.75. They go on sale to the general public this Friday.

The Palace advertises on AOA.

Joe Donahue, host of The Roundtable on WAMC-FM, will be hosting Steve Martin's apprearance on The Palace stage!!

My husband and I went to the show tonight. I'm not a fan of Steve's craft but I admire his creative genius. He seems to be a genuinely "nice guy" with a great sense of humor. I thought we were signing up for the "other" tour--the one with the bluegrass band...so I was a little disappointed; but, seeing Steve in this way was enlightening. He was charming and fun and a great musician; so all was not lost.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
