Stroke aside, the hot dogs were pretty good

Check out this Yelp review of Gus's Hot Dogs in Watervliet, or as Jerry called it "the single greatest food review ever" (high praise, but the second part of the review is kind of crazy).

Before anybody jumps to any conclusions, by "single greatest food review ever," I mean for entertainment value. They don't really give much information on the food other than that it was "good," but they have some, as AoA says, "crazy" stories in there.

he has some Way better reviews, this one is only a 3 on the 1 to 5 scale.

I ate there for the first time this summer. Dozens of people had raved about it, so I was excited for our dinner.

The whole thing was a disappointment. The roles were soggy, the hotdogs tasted like what we had in the cafeteria growing up and they offer chips, not fries. I need fries with my dogs!

Kristi, I'm with you. I don't get it. Their meatsauce is tasty, but I like my hotdogs to have snap to them. These don't.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
