Beer him
Chuck Schumer was at Brown's Brewing in Troy today to push for legislation that would cut the excise tax on beer brewed by microbreweries, such as Brown's, in half. Schumer's office is framing it as an economic development issue, though it probably wouldn't hurt to also pitch it as pro-good beer legislation. The bill is called the Brewers Excise and Economic Relief Act -- yep, the BEER Act (link is to a previous version).

This legislation is needed. anheuser busch has formed a monopoly on the beer industry that the government is refusing to break apart. I choose to drink anything from a micro brew instead of an anheuser busch beer
