They must have gotten nearly three items, at that length. They could really take a lesson from Price Chopper... or you know... anywhere that doesn't waste TONS of thermal paper to do whatever it is Rite Aid is doing...

Gotta go old school. I have a number of old register receipts from the '50s; they hadn't changed much since the invention of the cash register, and wouldn't change much until the late 1980s when computers changed everything. Before that, it was date, price, name of store, and that was it.
