Flying Pigs Farm CSA
The well-regarded Flying Pigs Farm in Washington County is launching a "snout-to-tail" CSA for pork. They're currently planning pickups at the farm in Shushan and two spots in Manhattan (they sell to a lot of restaurants there). But they say if there's enough interest in the Albany area, there could be a stop here. Update: They are now offering an Albany pickup. By the way: Gordon Farms in Albany County has a grass-fed beef CSA. And the Kilpatrick Family Farm in Washington County is trying out a "South of the Twin Bridges" CSA. [via @ps_saratoga]
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

Thanks for the shout out for my grass-fed beef. Shameless self-promotion is a daily chore for us direct marketing farmers This is where I plug my website www.gordon-farms.com and mention that the terms for my CSA are on the website, including delivery to your home. Now me and my cold will go back outside to work. Sandy

Can someone speak to the experience they've have with Gordon Farms? We've been looking for a 1/4 cow for a while now.
Wow, that sounds strange.
