The week ahead

ten commandments heston

No one parts a sea like Charlton Heston.

Here are a few things to keep in mind, look ahead to, or take care of this week -- from the weather (springy), to holidays, to Heston, to comedy, to music...

Thursday: Sunny. Breezy. Highs in the mid-50s.
Friday: Sunny, mid-50s.
Weekend: More of that, but with clouds and a chance of rain.

Remember your umbrella -- you might not need it... until you do.

Live electro band Future Rock is at Red Square in Albany Thursday night. Always a good time (video, photos).

And Friday is also the last day to vote in the Times Union's Best of the Capital Region poll. Some of you may know I am campaigning for a slate of mostly local businesses that are better than the likes of Subway, The Olive Garden and Friendly's which have graced the "Best of" list in the past.

Naturally I'm voting for All Over Albany as Best Local Website.

To learn more about the slate, affectionately referred to as the FUSSYlittleBALLOT, you are welcome to follow the below link.

Tuesday, April 19th – 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm – It’s the Bluegrass Jam at Jose Malone’s in downtown Troy. Musicians – bring your gear and some good songs! If you haven’t made it to Jose Malone’s yet, come on out and see for yourself how beautiful this venue is and how much fun we’ve been having. They also have a great menu and their chef is so very talented. They just won an award for the best ribs in the Capital District ! Peggy Lecuyer hosts this jam with Mike McMann on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
