A renowned name
Spanning the globe, Erik sends along the above pic. He writes:
I just got back from London and got a huge kick out of the fact that the 'fembins' in many London tourist attractions, including Westminster Abbey, are from a company called Albany Washroom Services.
Even more amusing to me because there are a lot of very handsome buildings in the city with Albany signs and engravings.
Just to be clear -- and as Nick helpfully pointed out yesterday -- the name Albany has roots in the UK (Scotland, specifically) that stretch back before the founding of the fair city here in the Capital Region. Albany (that is, the one here) was named after James II, who was the Duke of York and Albany.
