Roller derby tickets!

all stars 2011-05-21 bout posterThe Albany All Stars have a doubleheader coming up this Saturday at the Washington Ave Armory: the All Star will be taking on the the Hudson Valley Horrors, and the Albany B-Squad will throwing down with the ZomBSquad.

AOA has four pairs of tickets for the bout and we're giving them away -- maybe even to you.

We're feeling kind of cranky today -- maybe it's the weather, maybe it's the jackhammering on the street this morning, maybe it was the person we sat behind at the green light while she talked on her mobile. So, to enter, answer this question in the comments:

Dude, what's your problem?!?

We'll pick four winners at random from the comments.

The All Stars bout starts Saturday at 6 pm (doors at 5 pm). Music by Slick Fitty. Tickets are $10 ahead / $12 at the door (kids are $4).

Important: One entry per person, please. You must submit your comment by 10 pm today (May 19). You must include a working email address (that you check regularly) with your comment. Winners will be notified by 10 am on Friday (May 20) and must respond by 5 pm that day.

Yep, AOA is a media sponsor of the All Stars.

My problem is that they keep telling me there are five lights when clearly there are only four lights.

My problem is that it seems all my neighbors in my Park South neighborhood have agreed not pick up after their dogs. It really starts my morning off right when I get to see a steaming pile of excrement in the middle of the sidewalk. Even better when some gets on my shoe.

My problem is that EVERY TIME I try to go to a Roller Derby bout, the line is around the block & I forgot to get advance tickets, or when I can get tickets and REALLY want to go it's on a day I can't go. I REALLY WANT TO GO, especially since I can't participate, and I REALLY WANT TO PARTICIPATE!

Please!!! :)

Oh, and I'll loan you my cat Mary!! ;)

My problems? What about YOUR problems? OK, OK - I'll stick with the here and now - just broke my left index finger knuckle while practicing for a downhill race...and typing with my middle finger is driving me bloody crazy, let alone the pain!

I can't find my car!

My problem is that people have such an issue with dog poo left behind, so instead we have to pick it up with a bag that will then sit in a landfill for years and years before breaking down rather than just letting it compost and fertilize the grass no one ever walks in anyway. When you pick it up with a bag you usually just smoosh it around everywhere anyway, want me to steam clean your grass while I'm at it too?
Just saying...

Heath M- not that this affects everyone, but I've been using compostable/biodegradable doggy bags. They come in a little case that hooks onto the leash so I can't forget them.

My problem is a bunch of friends are going to Roller Derby this Saturday, but I've had to decline the invitation due to having no money as a result of my employer cutting my job to part-time because they are running the company into the ground and can no longer afford to pay good employees.. that's my problem, thank you for asking :-)

@Jess , thanks, and I do actually use those, but I'm sure 90% of the dog owning population doesn't and its just so annoying sometimes that all those bags are going into a garbage dump somewhere filled with a little piece of dog poo, when in reality when I smoosh it into the grass while trying to clean it up, all it does is disguise the smeared poo so people are more likely to step in the remnants!

Obviously if its on the sidewalk thats another matter, but my dogs prefer unmowed grass.

My problem is I'm unemployed and too broke to go see a sport that I love.

My problem is that I'm not on the f------ team

My problem is that I want pizza...(Mary knows what I'm talking about) :P

My problem? I couldn't turn down the free lunch. And going for seconds. Not sure how this whole Corporate Challenge race will go.

Mind your business, buddy!

That I have never been to Roller Derby...I am missing out!

My problem is with people who start side discussions like ways to pick up and/or discard of dog $h1t on a blog feed trying to give away tickets to an awesome event!

My problem is that I'm way too defensive about the things I love in Albany when anyone dares to criticize them!

My problem is that my web host offers more downtime than uptime. Makes working on websites very hard some days!

My problem is that although I would love to go and it would make excellent blog post material, I have yet to make it to the Roller derby.

My problem is with the weatherman, we're trying to schedule a time to duke it out, but I'm super busy and he's just a jerk.

I walked around for half the day with my fly wide open! There were women everywhere! fffuuuuuuuuu

my problem?? Is it that i live on madison work all the time and just got towed for this challenge??

Roadblocks barring my way home at every turn....

My problem is that there are not more Roller Derby Girls with the name Annie Cockledo!

My problem is it's 10:01 pm, my children JUST fell asleep and I JUST missed the drawing.

I hope that I won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
