The Capital Region's unemployment rate was 6.8 percent last month, according the state labor department. That's down from 7.1 percent in April 2010. Even with that drop, the Capital Region actually had fewer jobs in April compared to a year ago. One possible explanation: people are retiring from public sector jobs and aren't being replaced. For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
