Tickets for Company of Thieves

Update: The winner has been notified!

Indie rock band Company of Thieves is playing Northern Lights June 14 (a week from today). We have two tickets for the show -- and we'd like to give them way. We might even like to give them away to you.

To enter, answer this question in the comments:

What's one thing you'd like to steal from the Capital Region?*

We'll pick one winner at random from the comments.

Company of Thieves has been here a few time over the last couple of years. You might remember them from LarkFest 2009. They released a new album last month. It's gotten pretty good reviews.

The Nothern Lights show will also include Eytan and The Embassy, The Hounds Below, and local Nate Danker. Tickets are $10 ahead / $12 day of.

Important: All comments must be submitted by noon on Wednesday (June 8, 2011) to be entered in the drawing. One entry per person, please. You must enter a valid email address (that you check regularly) with your comment. The winner will be notified via email by noon on Thursday and must respond by 9 am on Friday (June 10, 2011).

* Giveaway does not include legal services, bail money, or a phone call from the station. We're not talking about actual theft, you know. Obviously.

I'd love to adopt Nipper and bring him home for my very own.

Cider donuts. I'd love to bring some to Frenchland. Turns out we don't have the technology to make a doughnut circular and punch a hole in it.

The Egg... over easy.

Steal? hmm....where would I take it? I'm tempted to say New World Bistro Bar, but I don't know where I'd want to take it...I'd probably bring it right back so I can continue to wow all my out of town guests with blackened string beans and duck liver pate...
Ok, so those are the things I would steal!

The City Gardner so I can have my own personal tulip fest in my back yard.

I would steal a bus..and then drive said bus around selling sandwiches.

I would steal Bettie's Cupcakes double decker bus- with all the cupcakes in it, of course.

Steal your face right off your head

I'd steal Matt Baumgartner (in a nice way). He does so much good for Albany, I love his blog, restaurant/bars and everything else. Props to him!

Troy Farmer's market, hands down.

I would steal the lady who makes the sweet potato biscuits at the troy farmer's market. I would politely ask her to make me baked goods all the time. yum!

The super ridiculously awesome collection of NYS minerals at the NYS museum. Who needs diamonds when you can have Herkimer diamonds?

Four Corners Luncheonette. It would be brunch at my place 9am - 8pm Monday thru Sunday. Boozey beverages served past noon...

I'd steal the Lark Tavern from Dinapoli and give it to Tess!

The huge circular rug with the state seal on it in the Capitol!

Definitely the Helderberg Escarpment. Oh yes.

GREAT IDEAS ALL:
niper
Lark Tavern for Tess
New World Bistro
The Spectrum
Egg
Tulips
Jerry
Yono
Thatchers
the husbands of the women of Freihofers

I would steal 787 so the ALB could reclaim its waterfront.

I would steal Waterworks Pub so I could have fabulous drag-tastic entertainment whenever I want!!

You're not a cop, are you?

I'd steal a Dutch Apple cruise ship and take it down to the Statue of Liberty!

Among other things, I would steal the weather vane on the top of the center tower of the SUNY Administration building of the Halve Maen. It's an awesome little piece of Albany history that reminds me of Boston.

I would steal the Washington Ave Armory and turn it into a premiere concert venue. It definitely doesn't get enough use, and never mind driving all the way up to Clifton Park.

I would steal Moses staff from the King Memorial fountain... I'll figure out a way.

I would steal Mayor Jennings tanning oil!

Oh darn, I really should have stolen NWBB sooner!

On the second Friday of May, I'd steal all the tulips from Washington Park, and hold them for ransom!
Muahahah!

I would steal Thatcher Park and live there!

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
