Update: The winner has been notified. Thanks for entering!

There's an interesting show lined up Tuesday night at The Linda: Sevendys, Sgt Dunbar, and Bryan Thomas. AOA has two tickets to the show. And we'd like to give them away. We might even want to give them away to you.

To enter, answer this question in the comments:

What's your favorite decade -- and why?

We thought it would be fun to play on the name of the Sevendys. We'll draw one entry at random from the comments. That person with get two tickets.

So, about this show... Sevendys is a collaboration between six musicians, among them once-again Albany resident Jed Davis and members of Avi Buffalo. (Michael Eck wrote about Sevendys recently in the TU.)

And, of course, you know all about Sgt Dunbar and Bryan Thomas. So, this could be fun. Tickets are $10. The show starts at 8 pm.

Important: All comments must be submitted by 11:59 pm on Monday (June 13, 2011) to be entered in the drawing. One entry per person, please. You must enter a valid email address (that you check regularly) with your comment. The winner will be notified via email by 9 am on Tuesday and must respond by noon that same day (June 14, 2011).

Awesome poster!

the 70s - polyester. period.

The one we're in now.

All time is linear and the present is a culmination of all things before it. Nostalgia can make us appreciative of the great things that once were, but it actively and criminally tunes out all the bad.

Right now technology is greater, more types of people are embraced, the music is more progressive, and the water is more drinkable. No better decade than now.

The naughts. The most awkward decade to mention. Plus it was when the internets blew up.

I will go the aughts decade, why not go with the last one.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
