In the picture

Both the Saratoga Springs police department and the New York State Police Computer Crimes Unit are now assisting the Saratoga Springs school district in its investigation of the yellow-teeth yearbook picture. (Note: not an Onion story.) [Post-Star]

As much as I feel it was just an awful thing to happen, aren't there more pressing issues for the State Police and Saratoga Police to be dealing with? Like finding those three people who trashed a race horse statue?

The FBI were contacted as well. A FBI spokesperson commented that "in this day and age, we feel that the use of all government resources to protect the feelings of its citizens is always justified"

By the way, the girl in the picture has put it past her, and is encouraging everyone to move on.

I'd think finding out who bullied a person -- a teenager -- should take priority over someone who trashed some silly statue.

I think there's a difference between bullying and a stupid prank. Bullying indicates a pattern of abuse and, from what I've heard about this situation and from what the girl that it happened to said in her own words, it's just a prank and she would like it to blow over and move on.

I'm not sure who the State Police and the Saratoga cops think they're helping but I'm not sure it's the girl whose photo got altered...

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
