Meat House Stuyvesant Plaza

The third Capital Region location for the Meat House, a chain of specialty butcher shops, opens today at Stuyvesant Plaza in Albany. There were already locations in Wilton and Clifton Park. (Observed: the Meat House's three local locations have all popped up right near Chipotles. Foodie coincidence?)

I happened to be in Stuyvesant Plaza this afternoon so I stopped in, lured by the promise of free meat. There was a decent crowd and I was given free steak tips to take home. Not bad. Who can argue with free meat? ( ok, that's a rhetorical question.)

What a welcome addition to the area! High quality meats, many of which are less expensive than the local chain supermarkets! ( Take notice, local chain supermarkets! You now have COMPETITION! )
We have had the most delicious marinated steak tips, marinated carrots and lemon pepper squash. Neighbors have told us their steaks are beyond belief!
They carry a large assortment of meats, including (uncontaminated) ground turkey.
There are many other " gourmet " items which lack only the " gourmet price." Salsas, sauces, fresh veggies, delicious breads and pies!
I'm going back tomorrow.

Fantastic. 100% better then any other local big name place. Quality quality quality.

The Scoop

For a decade All Over Albany was a place for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. It was kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who could help you find out what's up. AOA stopped publishing at the end of 2018.
