LarkFest music lineup 2011

larkfest 2011 music lineup composite

Mike Doughty, Diego Garcia, We are Jeneric

The Lark Street BID and WEXT announced the music lineup for this year's LarkFest today.

The headliner is Mike Doughty, the former frontman for Soul Coughing who's been a solo act for a bunch of years now. Also among the national acts: Diego Garcia, formerly of Elefant, now of his (apparently sexy) self. If you listen to EXT, you've probably heard his song "You Were Never There."

The lineup also includes some good locals. The full list is after the jump.

LarkFest is September 17.

yes! Doughty is one of my favourites to see live!

DOUGHTY!!!!

PHEEEEEnomenal. That means I get to see him three times this fall.

Wow this sounds ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Are they bringing back the side stage on Central in that little park? The Benson stage? It was so nice and not crowded and full of fun local music!

No Washington Avenue stage is likely.
Just 2 stages. We are Jeneric are playing, and I think all the local bands go on early too. So get up early for them and you don't have to crowd the out of towners if you choose.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

All Over Albany is for interested and interesting people in New York's Capital Region. In other words, it's for you. It's kind of like having a smart, savvy friend who can help you find out what's up. Oh, and our friends call us AOA.
