Building bond
Albany common councilman Dominick Calsolaro has proposed that buyers of vacant buildings in the city be required to put up a bond (of at least $10k) to cover the costs the city might incur if it has to step in to stabilize or knock down the building. [TU]

great, lets make empty derelict buildings that need hundreds of thoussands in repairs even more costly to buy!
