What's up in the Neighborhood

The NeighborhoodAmong the topics in this most recent spin around the Capital Region's online neighborhood: the future, storytelling, a tiny house gone, pirate outfitters, drugs, the Track, public bathrooms, peanut butter and jelly wings, all-you-can-eat sushi, the Tour de Fish Fry, million dollar french toast, an anthem, Art Omi, a place where slobs don't go.

After the last decade in America, Laura's not looking forward to the next 40 years.

Tim had a good time at the Front Parlor Storytelling night in Troy this week.

Paula noted that the tiny house at 402 Madison in Albany is now gone.

Dawn checked out a place that "could be Albany's foremost pirate outfitters."

Matt and Gary Dake had an exchange about the drugs clouding judgement.

The Idiots compiled a few ways to make money during Track season.

Mr. Dave issued a verdict on the Shake Shack at the Track. FiS Dan is still addicted to the shakes there.

Kristi asked about public bathrooms in Saratoga (and was the recipient of a random act of kindness -- despite her thoughts).

Chuck had "peanut butter and jelly" wings at Brown's. (And came across some great old ads for the Madison Theater.)

Two reports from Sushi X in Latham: Jerry and Albany Jane.

Daniel B. has compiled the itinerary for the Tour de Fish Fry.

Silvia shared barbarone -- somewhat reluctantly.

Steve overheard a few things at the bar.

Akum decided that Albany needs an anthem.

The Exiles marked some growth at Art Omi.

And at a place "where slobs are not likely to tote their sixpacks to," Jackie and a few friends finally found answer to the question: does a bear poop in the woods?

Comments

As always, I raise a peanut-butter-and-jelly wing to Greg and Mary and All Over Albany!

I hope that anyone who tries Sushi X after subsequently reading the two impressions above as well as comments realizes that the Rock Shrimp appetizer is not to be missed! Truly amazing!

Thanks for the love, AOA. Loving you right back.

Say Something!

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
