At SPAC, ballet attendance was up, orchestra attendance down
The Saratoga Performing Arts Center has released its attendance numbers for the 2011 season of the New York City Ballet and the Philadelphia Orchestra. Overall, the number of people who came to see the ballet was up 7 percent from the 2010 season, to 36,784. Meanwhile, attendance at the orchestra was down 12 percent to 35,765.
SPAC's 2011 Classical Season is now over. In addition to Live Nation concerts, there are a few random events left, like the Wine and Food Fest on Sept. 9 through 11.
Did you see any of the classical events at SPAC this summer? What did you think?

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up.
