Siena's looking for retro extras
It isn't exactly a future Hollywood blockbuster, but still, if you've ever wanted to be a part of movie making, this is a good opportunity. Siena College is looking for thousands of extras to be on sets Tuesday and Wednesday for a new short promotional film the school is making called "Living Our Tradition."
Siena is asking people to show up at the Times Union Center at 6 p.m. on Tuesday to be a part of a crowd at a basketball game. Since the basketball game is supposed to happen on an autumn evening, extra are asked to bring jeans, jackets and, if possible, wear school colors green and gold.
At 4 p.m. on Wednesday, volunteers are asked to be at the Siena baseball field for a springtime game that was also held in the 80s. So bring "me" decade flair such as headbands and neon. Think Hot Tub Time Machine, but way more wholesome.
And at 2 p.m. on Thursday, extras are needed on campus to replicate the school's atmosphere in the mid-90s. Think Eddie Vedder.
The film will be the centerpiece of Siena's strategic five-year plan, expected to be launched in October. It will be on the Siena website and will be show to prospective students who visit the school.
Say Something!
We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.

It's Siena. There was a serious lack of flannel there in the 90s. Think more v-necks and warm up pants.

So how are they going to block out the parking lot with non 80's cars and the buildings that were built after 1990 that surrounds the ball field?
