Troy dries out

Dinosauar Patio post flooding.jpg

The patio at the Dino today. Two days ago it was pretty much submerged.

We stopped in Troy a while ago to see how things were shaping up.

The Dinosaur BBQ patio was out from underwater and crews were working on the clean-up. According to a recent tweet from Mayor Harry T. the Dino and other restaurants along the river are scheduled to be open by Friday afternoon. Ryans Wake is first, today at 4.

After the jump, a few more before/ after photos of the Collar City.

The photo with the cup on the bench is my favorite from this whole terrible event. Something about that cup - left behind but just chillin' on the bench, all quiet and still - raised so many questions (what beverage did it contain? did the person finish it? why hasn't it blown away? where is the cup now?) but yet it conveyed such a sense of peace and normalcy amid the chaos. I will never forget that cup.

Dinosaur's FB says they're not opening until Saturday.

We'd really like you to take part in the conversation here at All Over Albany. But we do have a few rules here. Don't worry, they're easy. The first: be kind. The second: treat everyone else with the same respect you'd like to see in return. Cool? Great, post away. Comments are moderated so it might take a little while for your comment to show up. Thanks for being patient.
